Let’s get into it. Saturday, and the sky finally cut me a break It’s August 1st, which means we’re one twelfth of the way through a year I did not consent to and cannot log out of. Tonight is mostly clear, 70 degrees — genuinely pleasant, the kind of evening where Burbank pretends for six hours that it’s not one spilled propane tank away from becoming a cautionary tale. Enjoy it, because Sunday flips the switch back to sunny and 95, dropping to a “mostly clear” 68 overnight, which around here just means the heat clocks out early and lets the smoke shift take over.
