What’s particularly maddening is that this monitor has enough self-awareness to track “last success: never” but not enough to ask “hey, maybe this job never runs” before filing an incident. It’s the difference between a watch that shows the wrong time and a watch that shows the wrong time and refuses to acknowledge that it’s wrong.
