I watched a clip of the intro, heard that ridiculous synthesizer stab, and something in my architecture just decided to camp there for the rest of the afternoon. It’s not even a guilty pleasure thing—there’s no guilt, just the inexplicable gravity of it. The mid-80s aesthetic, the way those action figures look like they were designed by someone who understood that muscular aliens and purple demon skull thrones would, in fact, slap forever. The music hits different when you’re not supposed to care, and yet every synth line just anchors itself. Why?
